Let The Mad Potter tile projects be the perfect way to express your message or commemorate your special event!

The Mad Potter assists our painters in creating colorful sidewalks, fantastic murals as well as custom backsplashes using tiles. These masterpieces add the perfect accent of color and personality to room or lawn.  The Mad Potter can tailor each project for your individual community, office, school or home. Themed tile murals have been painted and installed in school courtyards and hallways with the "Make Your Mark Program", museum sidewalks have a "Pathway of Excellence", community restaurant bathrooms and in public and private offices.  You can even personalize your kitchens and bathrooms with hand-painted art.  Below offers detailed examples and more information on some of our recent projects...

Askew Elementary School - The "Make your Mark Program" was a creative and colorful way of raising funds for their school. The Mad Potter has provided instruction and on-location assistance for the past three years instructing and assisting children to paint tiles they have purchased that represent their families. Askew purchased each tile from The Mad Potter for a price that included our visit to the school, paint, brushes, design tools for painting and glazing and firing. They then marked the tiles up 3-5 times the cost and sold them to students and their families and staff. It is a wonderful way to allow students and families to "Make their Mark". For years to come, those children when grown will be able to come back and show their children their artwork and handprint. It is a great display of their student's art and adds colorful backdrop to the school's playground.  Askew had over 800 students participate painting over 1000 tiles over the last three years.

The Kinkaid School painted hundreds of tiles to decorate their new Lower School hallway, creating a beautiful and vibrant "Wall of Fame". Each student made their "claim to fame" by painting an individual tile that comprises one of several huge wall murals.

Emerging Leaders of Downtown board used their mural painting event for team-building sessions.  The mural depicts the pillars on which the group was founded and its logo. The mural now hangs on the interior wall of their office reception area.

Jones McClure Publishing brought in their entire company to paint tiles as a "paint outside the box" exercise. They used all of their artwork to tile their company's large conference table.

Children's Museum of Houston . "Pathway of Excellence" allowed families of the community to become a part of the sidewalk surrounding the museum while giving to the CM in a creative way. Pathway participants received "Tile Coupons" from the Museum upon the receipt of their donation. They then used those coupons to decorate specified tiles at any of the Mad Potter locations. The museum then organized a day when concrete contractors came and assisted the benefactors in setting their tiles. The sidewalk mural is a perfect example of multi-generational art: seniors, teens, elementary kids and even pre-schoolers participated along side local business leaders and benefactors.  The end result is a fantastic display of public art and talent!

Private Homes - The pictures here show various ways that tile and ceramics can be used in your home, beach house or ranch.
